Parking at Victoria International Airport (YYJ)

Everything you need to know about parking at YYJ — short-term, daily and long-term options, accessibility, and a cheaper alternative if you’re leaving your car for the whole trip.

Short-term parking

Short-term parking is the lot right by the terminal doors, a one- to two-minute walk. It costs a flat $4 for a stay of up to two hours — one fee, not an hourly rate — and two hours is a hard limit, so it suits drop-offs and pickups rather than a longer wait.

Daily & long-term parking

Two long-term lots sit further out: Long Term 1 is a five- to seven-minute walk, Long Term 2 an eight- to thirteen-minute walk. Both charge $1 per 30 minutes with a daily cap. Long Term 1 is capped at $20 a day and has no discount for a long stay; Long Term 2 is capped at $18 a day for each of the first five days and $9 for each day after that, so five days come to $90 and a week to $108. Monthly permits are $200 plus GST, with a two-month minimum.

Accessibility

Accessible parking spaces are available in all lots, close to the terminal entrances for travellers with reduced mobility.

Car rentals at the airport

Five car-rental agencies have counters in the arrivals area, across from the Information Desk, if you need a vehicle for your stay rather than airport parking.

Parking or a transfer — which is cheaper?

For a quick trip, parking is usually the cheaper option: two days in Long Term 2 is $36. The longer the car sits, the more a return transfer competes — a week is $108 and two weeks $171, even with the reduced rate after day five.
