How the Sidney transfer works

Book online with your flight number, pickup address and number of passengers. Your flight is tracked, and the driver meets you on arrival for a door-to-door ride to Sidney. Returning to YYJ? Book the same flat rate in the other direction.

Getting there by public transit

Sidney sits inside the airport's own transit catchment. BC Transit routes 87 ("Tsawout/Sidney via Airport and Dean Park") and 88 ("Airport/Sidney via Sidney Industrial") call at the terminal directly — no McTavish transfer, unlike the bus to downtown or Swartz Bay. The one-bus fare to Sidney is $3.

When to leave for Sidney

Sidney is the closest of the four zones to YYJ — about 7 km, roughly 10 minutes — so the drive is rarely what sets your schedule. For a domestic departure, plan to be at the airport 60 to 90 minutes ahead; from a Sidney address that still leaves comfortable margin even leaving 45 minutes out. On the way in, a driver tracking your flight already knows if you've landed late.
